What is Meridian Concord?
A trading game played in your browser. You captain a merchant ship, buy goods where they're cheap, sail real-time voyages and sell where they're dear. It's one shared world, and it never resets.
Is it free?
Yes. A free captain sails one ship and can go anywhere and reach any rank. Paying lets you sail more often, and a monthly subscription opens slots for more ships. Gold and rank can't be bought.
Do I need to download anything?
No. It runs in a web browser. [CONFIRM: phone support. Suggested: “It's built for desktop. Phones work, but the charts like room.”]
How much time does it take?
As little as a few minutes a day. Voyages take hours of real time, and your ship sails while you're away. Log in, sell, reload, set sail, log off.
What can I lose?
Cargo to raiders. Contraband to customs, along with a fine. Crew to storms, lost fights and desertion. Condition on your hull. Your ship itself can't be sunk. Insurance softens a raid, and you decide how much risk to carry.
Can other players attack me?
Yes. Other captains can hunt the lanes you sail and stop you mid-voyage. You still choose to fight, flee or surrender. New captains get a grace period at the start: nobody can raid you, and you can't hunt.
Can I run more than one ship?
Yes, with a subscription. It opens slots for more ships. You still buy each ship with gold you've earned.
Is it pay-to-win?
Paying lets you do more: more voyages, and more ships at sea. It doesn't buy gold, rank, better prices or better odds in a fight. Every ship, paid captain or free, is bought with gold earned at sea.
Does the world ever reset?
No. Prices, ranks and every captain's history carry on.
Can I have more than one account?
No. It's one captain per person. Running extra accounts is against the rules and we look for it.
Who makes it?
[CONFIRM: suggested “One developer in New Zealand, answering bug reports personally.”]
How old do I need to be?
[DECIDE: minimum age is still open]
